Shower Hose Cleaning Method

Cleaning steps
Disassembly and flushing: Turn off the water and unscrew the hose from both ends of the shower and tap. Tile the hose and shake it hard to drain the internal impurities, then connect the high-pressure faucet for a reverse flush until the water is clear

White vinegar soaking to dissolve scale: For scale blockage, the hose can be completely immersed in a mixture of white vinegar and water prepared 1:1. The metal hose should be soaked for about 30 minutes to 2 hours, and the plastic hose should not be soaked for more than 1 hour. After soaking, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water

Clean the interface filter: The connection between the hose and the shower is usually equipped with a circular filter, which is easy to be clogged by sediment. After disassembly, wash the filter with an old toothbrush, and if it is deformed, you can use a fine needle to poke it lightly

Physical dredging and high-pressure scouring: For local mild blockages, the hose can be coiled and inserted into a toothpick from one end to gently stir (to avoid puncturing the inner wall), and then rinse. or connect the tap to shock the impurities in the pipe with maximum water pressure

Routine maintenance and prevention
Regular cleaning : It is recommended to disassemble the filter and clean it once a month, and the pipeline can be flushed with a citric acid solution cycle every month to prevent limescale

Post-use maintenance: After showering, gently shake the hose to drain the remaining water inside, prevent limescale deposition, and keep the hose hanging naturally to avoid bending and deformation

Improve water quality: If the water quality in the residential area is hard, consider installing a pre-filter to block impurities and set the water heater temperature below 55°C to reduce scale generation

Timely replacement: When the hose is obviously hardened, deformed, the internal adhesive layer falls off, or the interface leaks, it is recommended to replace the hose directly with a new one
